New tool - - - > Box joint jig

I have always wanted to learn to make dovetails or box joints.  Dove tails are a little fancier, so I started with Box joints.  I needed a jig or some type of template.  After viewing several online tutorials, I decided I could make my own box joint jig.

I used some scrap steel and made a 'sled' that moves over the router table.  I have a backer board that is attached with wood screws to a welded flange, and I can adjust using the 'c' clamps.  It seems to be
working fairly well.

Little box from scrap wood to set the spacing,
then cut a few oak boxes.  Started the glue up this evening.

Bon-bon is taking a nap in the back ground.
