Test Fit

Here is the inset (without glass orb) test fit in the Ash table top:

Bonnie-bon is not impressed.  She is hoping for a doggie treat.

Here is the (mostly) finished table inset.   I still need to make the mounting holes in the glass orb.

Now it is time to start on the table.

Steel, welded on the bottom side.  Top side has some brazing.  Polished and finished with clear coat sealer.

Second Stage. . . more to come

So I have the proof of concept piece done - able to mount the glass sphere. 

I like where this is going.  I am not sure if this is Steampunk, Dada art or Bricolage.

 

I think 'Bricolage' is French for 'pile o junk stuff'
